Our goal has always been to make life simpler for users. The precision and reliability that the Koh-I-Noor names stands for are an important part of this, and the concept has been a driving force behind the many Rapidoplot developments which have helped change the course of drafting technology.

We have listed a glossary of pens guide to help you choose the pen best suited for your plotting needs.

GLOSSARY OF PENS

Refillable Liquid-Ink Pen - a reusable system designed to provide the highest quality plots. The refillable pen is also the longest lasting and most cost effective plotting pen, provided that it is properly cleaned and refilled on a daily basis.

DPPO Disposable Plotter Pen - provides high quality plots that meet government defined standards for archivability (waterproofness of ink, fade resistance of drawing). Contains a pigmented ink. Two versions are available. One for paper and vellum, the other for drafting film.

Easyplot Plus Disposable Plotter Pen - provides high quality plots on paper and vellum. Contains a specially formulated ink that has most of the characteristics of a pigmented ink, but will not clog the pen. Drawings produced are Archival for all practical purposes. Pen is pre-activated, no assembly or start-up required.

Fiber-Tip Plotter Pen - produces the brightest looking graphs and charts on paper and overhead transparencies. Two line widths are available in up to 15 colors. The 64 series pens contain a universal ink and are for paper and water-reactive overhead transparencies. The 65 series pens contain a special solvent ink for use on clear acetate or hand and photocopier overhead transparencies.

Rollerball & Ballpoint Plotter Pens - produce excellent check plots af the highest plotting speeds on paper. The rollerball pen produces a fine line width, and the ballpoint produces a medium line width. The special inks in the pens allow them to be used on plotters that previously could not use these pens. The rollerball needs only 18 grams of pen down force, and the ballpoint only 50 grams.
